Height Requirement for Terminal-Block Columns
When you lay out the columns of terminal blocks for the MDF, place no more than 1500 pairs (five
300-pair blocks in a column) for either frame- or wall-mounted installations. (See figure 2-1, Maximum
Column 1500 Pairs (Five 300-Pair Terminal BIocks).) Higher columns are hard to reach and make
connecting and disconnecting jumper wires difficult. Also, if horizontal space is limited, you can use
1800-pair columns for small installations, keeping in mind that this height could present problems.
