15.4 Field Replacement of Modules
All accessory cards are installed in the same manner, in a slot numbered from the left side The first slots are labeled ENC
meaning Encoder, which is legacy labeling as now there are more than encoder cards available and new firmware supports
cards in multiple slots as illustrated in the chart below. See the card support table below for correct card insertion. Be careful
to align the circuit board of the card with the yellow paint indication above the card when re-inserting the cards.

NOTE: The Fiber Optic Transmitter card DVFTXM and Distribution Amplifier DV2DA do not
appear in the GUI and are not affected by any firmware or upgrades. These cards are supported
in any slot and only derive power from the mainboard connection.
NOTE: Please power down the DVIS platform before replacing any plug in cards.
