Ethernet switch upgrade set

1)

An Ethernet switch upgrade set is available for the 2025/2045 basic system. By fit-
ting the switch it is possible to use installation cables Category 5 for both LAN and
phone call transmissions simultaneously. This means a LAN terminal and an system
terminal can be connected to a CAT 5 cable.

The switch features are as follows:

•

10/100 Mbit/s

•

Half-duplex/ Full-duplex

2)

•

Auto negotiation

•

Auto MDI/MDIX (automatic detection allows the use of straight or crossover LAN
cables)

•

No programming or configuration via AIMS required

Depending on requirements the upgrade set may comprise a basic set and one or
two expansion sets, each with one options card (OSWI8) and the relevant installa-
tion material.

A total of three options cards with 8 LAN ports each can be fitted to a 2025/2045
basic system.

The Ethernet switch upgrade set includes extensive installation instructions for in-
stallation on a 2025/2045 basic system, right down to the cabling to the terminals.
