OPERATION

Project Tree: Press and Hold right mouse button. Drag
Project Block off to the side. The Block can then be closed
out by clicking on the
U
or hidden by changing the Track-
man main screen to full
. It can be viewed again by se-
lecting View from main menu and then “Project”. Dragging
Project Block back over grid area using right mouse button
and releasing will cause block to re-position itself next to the
grid. The project block menu is a quick way to access many
of the setup parameters required within the USBL system.
The Computer refers to the PC which can have many periph-
erals (shown as sub-sets) such as; Display, Disks, Printer,
Data Output (Device List) and an interface to configure the
USBL parameters (TrackPoint 3). The TrackPoint sub-set pa-
rameters consist of heading sensor, Hydrophone and Acous-
tic Data. Separate from the Computer and TrackPoint are the
Beacons.
Plotting Window: The Plotting
Window shows the vessel sym-
bol, all target positions and also
the Hydrophone position. The
grid Full Scale and Spacing is
settable via the View / Display
Options menu along with vessel
height and width. The Plotting
Window can also be re-sized
within the constraints of the
main window area or minimized
, expanded
or zoomed
out to full screen
