ICX 7650 stacking capabilities (continued)
Stacking capability
ICX 7650
Additional information
Valid-stack-port sets
For 100-Gbps stacking: (x/3/1, x/3/2, 1)
For 40-Gbps stacking: (x/3/1, x/3/3, 2)
NOTE
The third number in the set is the
maximum number of ports in a
stacking trunk. One indicates
stack-port only.
Refer to the definition of valid-stack-port set
in
on page 19 and
on page 23 for more
information.
Refer to
on page 119
for module and port locations.
Reconfigurable ports
Supported
The rear-module command can be used to
change stacking port speeds or to reconfigure
stacking ports as uplink ports and vice versa.
NOTE
Valid-stack-port sets are specific to
stacking port speed settings and
cannot be reconfigured.
Stack trunks
Supported
2 X 40-Gbps bidirectional trunks are
supported on ports 1/3/1 to 1/3/2 and ports
1/3/3 to 1/3/4.
NOTE
When stacking port speed
changes, existing stacking trunk
configuration may be removed.
Refer to
manually on a non-production system
page 128 and
stacking trunk on a live system
on page 130.
Linear-topology trunks
For 100-Gbps: stack-trunk x/3/1 to x/3/2
For 40-Gbps: stack-trunk x/3/1 to x/3/4
Refer to
Support for two-unit stack linear-
on page 36 for more
information.
Hitless switchover and hitless failover
Supported
Refer to
on page 171.
License requirements
Premium Layer 3, MACsec
Static routing and RIP are the only Layer 3
protocols available without a license. All other
Layer 3 protocols require a Premium Layer 3
license.
A separate license is required for MACsec.
Refer to the Ruckus FastIron Software Licensing
Guide for more information.
Configuration options
Manual and automatic, including stack
interactive-setup and zero-touch provisioning
Refer to
56.
Access methods
TFTP, SCP
Software images, boot images, and signatures
can be downloaded to a stack using TFTP and
SCP. Refer to the Ruckus FastIron Software
Upgrade Guide for more information.
Stacking commands
All stacking CLI is available on ICX 7650
devices unless otherwise noted on the
command reference page.
