Resolving Module 2 mismatches in an ICX 7650 stack
When an ICX 7650 stack unit rejoins a stack with a different module type installed as Module 2, a configuration mismatch occurs,
and the active controller places the stack unit in non-operational mode.
Follow these steps to correct a module configuration mismatch in an ICX 7650 stack.
1. Enter the show stack command to confirm that a unit has become non-operational due to a configuration mismatch.

The example shows a configuration mismatch on stack unit 3.
NOTE
You can use the show module command to diagnose the mismatch.
2. Use one of the following options to resolve an identified configuration mismatch:
• Option 1: In global configuration mode, enter the no stack unit command followed by the stack number of the
offending device to remove the unit from the stack and allow it to rejoin.

The example removes stack unit 3 from the stack and shows the unit rejoining the stack with the correct
configuration.
• Option 2: In stack unit configuration mode for the non-operational unit, enter the no module 2 command to
remove the incorrect module configuration, which allows the correct module information to be learned.
