In the ring stack formed in the example, unit 1 is labeled the active controller, and unit 2 has been assigned the standby
controller role.
Each stack unit produces log entries on stack formation as shown in the following example for unit 2. The log includes
information on synchronization with the stack, reboot, power supply status, and stacking role and configuration. As noted in the
linear stack example, after the unit has joined the stack, its prompt changes (in the following example, to
[MEMBER]
