If the patient becomes agitated, stop transferring/
transporting and safely lower the patient onto a
secure surface.
WARNING
To avoid injury, first perform a patient assessment;
position, reposition, lift and transfer in accordance
with this assessment.
WARNING
To avoid injury, make sure the patient's head and
spine are supported during any manoeuvre.
WARNING
To avoid injury, if patient care requires the use of
tubes/ lines/drains, make sure these are being
safely handled in the lifting, repositioning and
transfer manoeuvre.

To avoid injury, never leave the patient unattended
when the
Maxi Transfer
sheet is attached to the lift.

To avoid the patient from falling, make sure that the
loops are securely attached before and during the
lifting process.
WARNING
To avoid injury, make sure that the

sheet is not attached to any other object than the
stretcher frame/spreader bar and that there is
clearance to perform the manoeuvre.
