Troubleshooting
PROBLEM
ACTION
The patient does not have enough neck support
during transfer.
•
Make sure the
Maxi Transfer
sheet is attached with
the most appropriate straps and loop lengths that give
the best support for spine and neck.
•
Place/adjust/remove the pillow between the patient’s
neck and the
Maxi Transfer
sheet, if needed.
The position of the patient in the
Maxi Transfer
sheet must be more upwards or reclined.
Lower the patient until supported by the bed and:
•
adjust the stretcher frame balance

•
and/or
•
detach the straps and rearrange these to different
positions or select different loop lengths.
It is difficult to use the
Maxi Transfer
sheet in
combination with the lift.
Use the
Maxi Transfer
sheet only in accordance with the
combinations described in section
Allowed
Combinations on page 10
in this
IFU
.
The patient is not positioned correctly in the
Maxi
Transfer
sheet during transfer.
Make sure that the:
•
straps are attached as recommended in the
IFU
.
•
patient is in a horizontal position when supported by
the
Maxi Transfer
sheet.
•
weight of the patient is evenly distributed, depending
on the manoeuvre.
The patient feels discomfort when using the
Maxi
Transfer
sheet as bed linen.
•
Make sure the reinforcements are in line with or
outside the edges of the mattress.
•
Make sure the
Maxi Transfer
sheet support surface is
clear of straps and has no creases.
•
Place/adjust/remove the pillow between the patient’s
neck and the
Maxi Transfer
sheet.
The patient feels discomfort during supine lifting,
repositioning and transfer.
•
Make sure the straps are attached at a comfortable and
safe position and at a appropriate loop length.
•
Place/adjust/remove the pillow between the patient’s
neck and the
Maxi Transfer
sheet.
