24.2 Installation
Brackets:
24.2.1 Take the appropriate bracket (Fig 22, Item 13-16) to the replacement point on the bed.
24.2.2 The mounting of the bracket varies depending on where it is placed on the bed:
If you attach the bracket to the middle of the bed, its position after tightening a should be as
horizontal as possible.
If you attach the bracket to the backrest of the bed, keeping the indicated edges parallel after
tightening as shown in the drawing.
24.2.3 After screwing down the bracket, check that it is stationary in relation to the bed.
Damper :
24.2.4 Fit a new damper (Fig 22, Item 18), fasten the damper to the bracket (Fig 22, Item 13-16) with
the starlock (Fig 22, Item 30). Put on the bolt (Fig 22, Item 23), sleeves (Fig 22, Item 20-21),
damper and nut (Fig 22, Item 24). Screwing the bolt to the S-Side upper arm to end of tread.
Hold the bolt with a spanner and construct a nut in the direction shown in (Figure 24).
24.2.5 After screwing the bolt (Fig 22, Item 23) on and counter it with a nut (Fig 22, Item 24), check
that the bolt (Fig 22, Item 23) is securely fastened and it cannot be unscrewed by hand.
