Battery
The battery is installed in a compartment between the seats (Wildcat), underneath the
passenger seat (Wildcat Sport/Trail), or in a compartment underneath the driver seat
(Prowler).
For optimum performance and a service life as long as possible, the battery must be
periodically cleaned and charged again after putting into operation.
The discharge of the battery may have e.g. the following causes:
●
Changing ambient temperatures
●
Quiescent current demand
●
Corroding connections
●
Self-discharge
●
Frequent starts/stops
●
Short engine running times
●
Frequent use of the winch or the snow blade
●
Longer operation at low speed
●
Use of accessories with high power consumption
The following procedures are recommended for cleaning and care of sealed batteries.
NOTE
If defects are detected, have an authorised Arctic Cat specialist repair shop
replace the corresponding protective rubber sleeve.
ATTENTION
Observe all warnings added to the battery and the charger.
NOTE
Arctic Cat recommends the use of CTEK chargers for trickle charging or
charging of the battery.
