Checking the engine oil level (Prowler HDX)
Check engine oil level before every ride, as follows:
1. Swivel cargo box upwards (refer to section 4.17.2).
2. Unscrew oil dipstick (1) from the engine housing and wipe with a clean cloth.
3. Screw oil dipstick (1) into the engine housing.
4. Unscrew oil dipstick (1) from the engine housing and read engine oil level on the
oil dipstick (1).
5. If the engine oil level is too low: refill engine oil as follows.
– Remove seat (refer to section 4.12.2).
– Unscrew cap.
– Refill engine oil. When doing this, observe the maximum fill level.
– Screw cap onto the filler hole.
– Install seat (refer to section 4.12.2)
6. Screw oil dipstick (1) into the engine housing.
7. Install centre console.
8. Install seat (refer to section 4.12.2).

Checking the oil cooler
To ensure perfect engine oil cooling, remove dirt and deposits from the oil cooler
periodically.
NOTE
The oil dipstick is located on the left-hand side of the engine.
ATTENTION
Only use fully synthetic engine oils from Arctic Cat.
ATTENTION
Permanent operation of the vehicle at a too high engine temperature may
lead to engine damages or premature wear.
NOTE
The oil cooler is installed above the right-hand front wheel.
