Safety instructions for driving
●
Never drive the vehicle in terrain that is to steep for the vehicle or for your capa-
bilities. Train on less steep slopes before driving steeper slopes.
●
When crossing a slope: drive slowly. If you feel that the vehicle might tilt: stop or
drive downhill.
●
Never cross a slope that is so steep that the vehicle tilts heavily to one side.
●
Always drive slowly and particularly carefully in unfamiliar terrain.
●
Always pay attention to changing terrain conditions.
●
Never drive over high obstacles such as e.g. rocks or fallen trees.
●
Do not drive in rough, slippery and loose terrain before you have not acquired the
necessary capabilities.
●
Always drive particularly carefully in rough, slippery and loose terrain.
●
As far as possible, do not drive through or over bushes, shrub, rubbish or scree.
If you cannot avoid it: drive carefully and slowly. Always pay attention to objects
which might obstruct or hit the vehicle, or intrude into the passenger compartment.
●
Never turn on a slope.
●
Drive slowly and very carefully on extremely slippery ground (e.g. ice).
●
Follow the instructions for cornering.
●
Rehearse cornering first at low speed before driving into curves at a higher speed.
●
Adapt speed and driving technique to your skills.
●
Never drive in fast-flowing stretches of water or in stretches of water whose depth
exceeds the height of the floor.
●
Observe that wet brakes increase the braking distance. Test the brakes as soon
as you have left the water. If necessary, brake several times to dry the brake pads.
●
Before going into reverse, make sure that there are no persons or obstacles
behind the vehicle. If the stretch is free, drive backwards slowly.
●
Remain seated with your safety belt fastened while driving.
●
Do not stick your arms or legs out of the vehicle.
●
Never try to support a tilting vehicle with your hands or feet. When a vehicle tilts:
press your feet firmly on the vehicle's floor and hold on to the steering wheel or
the grabs with your hands. Never hold on to the roll-over protection.
●
A passenger shall be able to hold on to the handles when he/she has placed his/
her feet flat on the floor and, while sitting on the seat, is leaning his/her back on
the backrest.
●
Do not exceed the permitted load limits of the vehicle.
●
Follow the instructions for driving with load and/or driving with trailer.
●
Do not drive faster than 16 km/h with a locked front differential.
●
Release the differential lock immediately when no longer required.
●
Do not change the vehicle with improper additions or by the improper use of
accessories.
●
Only install and use original parts or original accessories of Arctic Cat. If you have
any questions, please contact an authorised Arctic Cat dealer.
●
Never drive without roll-over protection.
