Bypass Switch TAP/Aggregator User Manual

Chapter 6 Maintenance

a. Gently wipe the outside of the ferrule as well as the end-face surface of the ferrule. Do 

not attempt to clean the inside of the connectors.

b. Wait a few seconds for the surfaces to dry and repeat for the other ferrule.

5. Visually inspect the ferrule for dust and lint, then clean again if necessary. The connectors 

must be absolutely free of trapped foreign material.

6. Discard unused tissues or swabs properly. Never reuse any cleaning pad, swab or tissue.

7. Remove the dust cover immediately prior to inserting the cable.

8. Connect the cable by gently inserting it into the transceiver.
