Bypass Switch TAP/Aggregator User Manual

Chapter 4 Install and configure the unit

The Blade/Port Status window displays the following information for each port. Each of these 
areas in the window are described in the sections that follow:

Icon Status

Description

Port name

Displays the Port Name (the defaults starts with x1N1).

SFP status

Displays whether an SFP is installed in the port and, if so, 
the status of the SFP.

Signal strength

Displays the signal strength within the port icon. Check 
ports to see if there are weak or faulty fiber optic cables.

Port Statistics

View a limited selection of Port Statistics for that port.

Enable warnings and notifications for that port.

Current SFP 
Threshold Values

Displays threshold values for that port.

Additional Details

Details on the SFPs installed in the port, including:

Vendor Details

Information about the transceiver installed in that port.

Transmission Media 
Supported

Type, length, and so on.

Protocol Compliance Fibre Channel, Ethernet, SONET/SDH.
