Sinus filter
The sinus filter suppresses the high frequency components of the output voltage, this means that the motor voltage waveform is almost sinusoidal
without high voltage peaks and further reduces or undoes the increase of the motor noise fed by VSD.
The sinus filter is particularly indicated for applications where motor does not have adequate insulation for VSD duty, with submersible pumps with long
motor cables e.g. in the oil industry, where maximum safety and reliability is needed in e.g. EX applications and where a transformers in the drive
output is used.
Sinus filters require scalar control (V/Hz) and they are designed for switching frequency of 2KHz (1,5KHz for SVGT470F and SVGT940M) and for a
maximum output frequency off 50Hz
n features
Before connecting the inverter to the motor, verify that the current absorbed by the capacitor bank of the LC
filter at inverter output (see the capacity values of the working diagram enclosed to the supply) is less than
90% of the motor no-load current.
It is necessary to verify this condition in order to avoid the possibility of self-excitation of the motor, with
consequent heavy damages both for the equipment and for the operators.
