4.5.2 Installation of RDV with pressure fit flange
Cylinder mounting
Install the rod using the pressure fit flange. Seal it off by means of
the O-ring and the back-up ring. Block the pressure fit flange using a
shoulder screw (Fig. 26). For details of the pressure fit flange »S« see
Fig. 27. Also note the mounting examples in Fig. 28 and Fig. 29.
Controlling design dimensions are in millimeters and measurements in ( ) are in inches
Note for cylinder installation:
• The position magnet should not grind on the sensor rod.
• The piston rod drilling (≥ Ø 13 mm (≥ Ø 0.51 in.)) depends on the
pressure and piston speed.
• Adhere to the information relating to operating pressure.
• Protect the sensor rod against wear.
