Power Management
Power Button Mode
This option specifies how the power button mounted externally on the computer
chassis is used. The settings are:
Setting
Description
On/Off
Pushing the power button turns the computer on or off.
Standby
Pushing the power button places the computer in
Standby mode
Suspend
Pushing the power button places the computer in
Suspend mode or Full On power mode.
The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are
On/Off.
Power Button Mode After Power Loss
This option specifies the mode of operation after a loss of power.
The settings are
Power On
(the system boots after power is restored) or
Stay Off
(the
system remains off after power is restored.) The Optimal and Failsafe settings are
Power
On

Green PC Monitor Power State
This option specifies the power state that the green PC-compliant video
monitor enters when AMIBIOS places it in a power saving state after the specified period
of display inactivity has expired. The settings are
Stand By, Suspend,
or
Off.

Video Power Down Mode
This option specifies the power state that the video subsystem enters when
AMIBIOS places it in a power saving state after the specified period of display inactivity
has expired. The settings are
Standby, Suspend

Disabled.

Hard Disk Power Down Mode
This option specifies the power conserving state that the hard disk drive
enters after the specified period of hard drive inactivity has expired. The settings are
Disabled, Stand By,
or
Suspend.
