Programming the Flash ROM,

Continued

B) Programming the Flash EPROM Using the AMIFlash Utility, cont’d

To enable this program to update bootblock code, make sure that a jumper is installed on
JP5 before the system is turned on. To do so, perform the following procedure:

Step

Action

Turn the system off.

Install a jumper on JP5.

Turn the system on.

Boot to DOS.

Run AMIFlash.

At the prompt “Program Boot Block? ”, type Y and press
<Enter>.

After the boot block is programmed, reboot the system.

Turn the power off.

Remove the jumper on JP5.

Enter

if you want to program the boot block or

if you do not want to program the boot

block.
