Processor Serial Number
Set this option to
Enabled
to allow the operating system and applications to be
able to read the CPU serial number from your CPUs. The Optimal and Failsafe settings are
Disabled
.
CPU Frequency
The CPU frequency setting is the ratio between the external clock bus, and the CPU core
frequency. CPUs are marked with core frequency. For example, a 400 MHz/133 FSB CPU
has a core frequency of 400 MHz, and an external bus frequency of 133 MHz. In this case,
you would select a ratio of
1:3
(133.33 x 3 = 400). The settings are
1:2, 1:4, 1:3, 1:5, 2:5,
2:9, 2:7, 2:11, 1:6, 1:8, 1:7, 2:13, 2:3, 2:15,
or
1:2.
Caution
Do not overclock CPUs.
Some CPUs have a fixed clock ratio that cannot be changed.
For these CPUs, this option does not appear on the screen.
