The Host Adapter Setting subscreen displays the list of host
adapter settings. The system provides the BIOS address, BIOS revision number, and
interrupt level.
You can select the options for the other items, beginning at Host Adapter BIOS. The
definitions and settings for the other items are:

the board is disabled, which frees space in upper
memory. Do not disable this setting if you boot
from a SCSI disk drive attached to the board. The

to perform burst transfers.

, the BIOS automatically configures

configuration settings manually for any SCSI
device.

If you change any values, performance
problems for incorrect device operation can
result.

Safe
, the optimal configuration settings
are not used and all attached devices work in
minimal configuration (narrow, asynchronous
mode.)
Note:
Safe
mode is used primarily to
troubleshoot SCSI devices that are not working
properly during normal system operation.
