HOW TO READ THE MANUAL: STRUCTURE AND CONSULTATION 

 

1.1.1 

Purpose and contents of the manual 

 
This manual describes the DTRAK 300 machine. 
The machine  can  be  used  for  working  with  products  which  have the  characteristics  described  in  the 
data sheet (see chapter 2). 
Hereafter in the manual, the DTRAK 300 machine will be simply referred to as the “machine”. 
The manual is written in such a way so as to inform its operator about: 
- problems regarding the machine and the products being worked with; 
-  safe operation. 
 
Therefore,  within  the  manual  the  operator  will  find  user  instructions  and  proper  maintenance 
procedures, together with safety and accident prevention regulations.

General warnings 

 

 

WARNING:  BEFORE  PERFORMING  ANY  OPERATION  upon  the  machine,  ITS 
OPERATORS  AND  QUALIFIED  TECHNICIANS  MUST  CAREFULLY  READ  THE 
INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE PRESENT DOCUMENT (and relative annexes) AND 
FOLLOW THEM WHEN PERFORMING ANY OPERATIONS. 

 
The general warnings contain important information regarding: 
-  the safety of the personnel assigned to the machine’s use, operation and maintenance; 
-  the safety and the efficiency of the machine; 
-  work quality. 
 

 

WARNING:  USE  OF  THE  MACHINE  IS  NOT  TO  BE  PERMITTED  IF  THERE  ARE  ANY 
DOUBTS  REGARDING  THE  CORRECT  INTERPRETATION  OF  THE  INSTRUCTIONS. 
REQUEST ANY NECESSARY CLARIFICATIONS FROM THE MANUFACTURER OR FROM 
AN AUTHORIZED ASSITANCE CENTRE. 

 
The  manufacturer  is  willing  to  provide  training  courses  at  its  facilities  or  else  at  the  facilities  of  the 
machine’s distributor. 
Availability, times, costs and methods must be agreed upon beforehand. 
 

1.1.3 

Safety terms and symbols which will be used in the manual 

 
-  DANGER ZONE: zone within or near the machine which constitutes a health and safety risk for any 

person exposed to the zone.  

 
-  EXPOSED PERSON: a person located entirely or partially within a danger zone. 
 
-  OPERATORS:  people  in  charge  of  installing,  operating,  adjusting,  maintaining  or  cleaning  the 

machine, each within the limits of the responsibilities assigned to them. 

 

Risk

:  

The  combination  of  probability  and  severity  of  possible  personal  injury  or  health 
risks in dangerous situations. 

 

Residual risk

Any risk remaining after having adopted the appropriate safety measures; 

 

Danger

Sources of possible personal injury.
