FIRST USE
NOTICE:
General

All of the operators must:
respect the machine’s intended uses;
respect the zone categories (working, command, danger);
respect the limitations of the responsibilities prescribed for the machine’s operators,
maintenance personnel and qualified technicians.
Safety notice:
The machine’s operators must never perform operations which are intended to be performed
by maintenance personnel or by qualified technicians. The operator will not be held responsible
for any damages deriving from failure to respect these prohibitions.
The personnel in charge of working on the machine must have the requirements indicated in
the introduction and must also have a good knowledge of both the information contained in this
manual as well as all relevant safety information.
“Improper use” of the machine nullifies the machine’s warranty and transfers all eventual
responsibility to the machine’s user.
ATTENTION:
IT IS FORBIDDEN TO LEAVE THE MACHINE’S IGNITION KEY (NO.1 IN FIG. 6-1)
UNATTENDED. The safeguarding of the key is the responsibility of the person in charge
of the machine.
The manufacturer shall bear no responsibility for failure to observe this regulation.
6.1.1
Controls
The system is composed of:
1. A general, two-way, mushroom-head selector:
With the selector pulled-out the machine is on;
With the selector pushed-in the machine in off.
With the key in the “
ON
” position, the machine is on;
With the key in the “
OFF
” position, the machine is off
It is possible to remove the key from the ignition when it is in the “
OFF
” position. This
precaution has been adopted both for the purposes of preparing the machine for maintenance
as well as for leaving the machine unattended. Its purpose is to prevent accidental activation
of the machine during maintenance (see the procedures in chapter 7 “Maintenance”);
2. An emergency stop lever located on the left drive control, which must be pressed in order to
activate all of the machine’s functions;
3. A forward/reverse movement lever;
4. A handle for speed adjustment,
5. A display which shows the battery’s charge level;
