WARNINGS
ATTENTION: The lifting, handling, transporting and unpacking of the machine and its
components must be performed under the following conditions:
-these operations must be entrusted exclusively to qualified personnel (slingers, crane
operators, forklift operators, signalmen).
The operators must also be:
-informed as to the nature of the loads to be lifted, as to the operations to be carried out
and as to the procedures foreseen by the manual;
-authorized;
-assisted by employees of the manufacturer (or of the authorized assistance centre) who
have a good knowledge of the machine and its manual;
-operate in accordance with the procedures indicated in the manual itself.
ATTENTION: During these operations the operators involved must wear personal
protection gear such as: helmets, gloves, safety shoes, work coveralls and any other
means required by the current standards based on the nature of the operations to be
performed.
ATTENTION: The operators must respect the regulations and prohibitions prescribed by
the current standards for lifting and transport operations; amongst these, the following
general operative rules are to be kept in mind:
-stand back from the loads before performing lifting and lowering manoeuvres;
-do not stand underneath suspended loads;
- access to unauthorized personnel is to be prohibited;
-keep a safe distance from the suspended machine during any manoeuvres.
ATTENTION: Failure to observe the above warnings can lead to serious injury and/or
accidents with consequent machinery damage and personal injury.
In the most serious cases these accidents CAN CAUSE THE DEATH OF THE
OPERATORS INVOLVED.
3.2
TRANSPORTING AND LIFTING THE MACHINE
The machine is shipped completely assembled and packaged in a cardboard box attached to a pallet.
Upon arrival, verify that the machine has not been damaged during transport and that all of the parts
indicated in the packing list are present, including the instruction manual.
ATTENTION: Any means used for handling must be suitable for lifting the machine,
keeping in mind:
-the shape and size;
-the mass (weight) and its distribution (centre of gravity);
-the foreseen lifting connection points.
NOTICE: Arrange the lifting apparatus in such a way so as to avoid collisions and/or
pressure upon protruding parts (especially the command panel, etc.).
ATTENTION: Appropriately trained personnel should be assigned to these operations
(slingers, crane operators, forklift operators, etc). Arrange for a person to be in charge
of signalling as the encumbrance of the machine and its packaging can impede
sufficient visibility for the operators performing the manoeuvres.
