GENERAL MACHINE DESCRIPTION
Foreword
The
DTRAK 300
machine (no.1 in fig. 2-1) has a metallic frame whose base rests upon three
wheels, two for traction and one for turning. An electric motor, powered by a 24 volt battery, is
located within the basic frame. The manual dumper tray (no.2), in which the material to be
transported shall be placed, is positioned above the frame. The battery lodging (no.3) is located at
the front, above which can be found the control panel (no.4) which is connected to the plough-stilt
drive system (no.5) with its relative manual controls. The position from which the operator shall
conduct the machine is shown with point (A) in fig. 2-1.
ATTENTION: some of the manual’s illustrations show the machine, or parts of it, without
its guards or with its protective devices removed. This has been done exclusively for
explanatory purposes. USE OF THE MACHINE WITHOUT ITS GUARDS OR WITH THE
PROTECTIVE DEVICES DEACTIVATED IS ALWAYS FORBIDDEN.
FAILURE TO OBSERVE THIS OBLIGATION CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS ACCIDENTS.
The description of the machine has been performed in a concise manner so that the OPERATORS
and the MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL may acquire:
- an initial knowledge of the machine and the parts of which it is composed;
- a knowledge of the terms and the names which shall be used within the manual.
These elements are essential to understanding the instructions and the warnings which are contained
in the following paragraphs.
