Checking and adding SAE 10W-30 4 stroke engine oil into the 

engine crankcase. (see fig. K1-K4)

WARNING: Engine shipped without oil in the crankcase. 

Before starting engine, fill with SAE 10W-30 4 stroke 

engine oil. Do not over-fill. Do not run the engine with a high 

or low oil level as this can cause engine damage. 

1)  Turn the oil gauge dipstick (21) anti-clockwise, remove it, and clean 

it with a clean cloth.

2)  Fully reinsert the oil gauge dipstick (21) but do not screw it in; allow 

it to sit on the lip of the oil dipstick cavity, then pull it out to check 

the oil level.

3)  If the oil level is halfway up the dipstick (21) or below, refill with SAE 

10W-30 oil through the dipstick hole using the supplied oil funnel 

(46) until the oil level reaches 3/4 up the dipstick (21) or until it 

reaches the bottom lip of the dipstick hole as shown in fig. J3.

4)  Reinsert the oil gauge dipstick (21) and tighten it clockwise to 

secure.
