AIR SPRING
Vertical shocks of the spray boom are absorbed by one air spring. The air spring is filled with air under
high pressure (Pmax = 8 bar). The pressure in the air springs depends on the weight of the spray boom.
The air springs are filled when the spray boom is open and positioned horizontally. The fullness
indicator can by checked by checking the height of the connection bar. Recommended heights are
indicated on the attached warning label (Figure 42). The hydraulic cylinder is attached between the
connection bar and the shoulder carrier. The connection bar is guided by sliders and limited with a
screw mounted at the top. Responsiveness of the shock absorption system depends on the correct
pressure in the air springs, the condition of guides, the clearances of guides and their lubrication.
