Troubleshooting Guide for the Sample Transport Assembly
Intermittent lock-ups with or without vial in the gripper fingers
With error messages
• motor overtemp
(0 or 1 or 2 or 3)
• movement failed
(0 or 1 or 2 or 3)
• missing vial
1
Check the vials and the caps.
For reliable operation, vials used with the autosampler must not have
tapered shoulders or caps that are wider than the body of the vial. For more
details, see
“List of Compatible Vials and Caps”
2
Reset the sampler and check the tension of the belts.
3
Exchange the gripper arm assembly (Gripper assembly (G1313-60010)), see
4
Start automatic referencing in Lab Advisor. For this procedure it is
mandatory to use the calibration tool.
On completion of the procedure, the corrected values are stored in the
instrument firmware.
5
Exchange Transport assembly ( Sample Transport Assembly
(G7129-60600)).
6
Exchange the Autosampler Main Board ( Autosampler Specific Board
(G7129-65800)) or the fusion board ( Fusion Board (G4200-65880)).
7
For both steps (step 5 and 6), you have to do an automatic referencing again
to store the correct values in the instrument firmware again.
