PORTABLE TAG (OPTIONAL)
The HWS.1 scanner has been designed to use an external TAG that identifies the
machine and which is read by the instrument at the time of measurement: the
measurement data saved in memory will be associated to the identification number
of the line/machine given by the Tag inserted in the fixture. This TAG is always
embedded in the
fixture for the on-line measurement (SEE NEXT CHAPTER)
, but
there is also available in a portable version that can be left next to the machine to
associate the production line to measurements taken without the support.
fig. 1
To use the portable TAG, plug it into the top slot of the scanner and take the measurement: the measurement data
saved in memory will be associated to the TAG identification number (figs. 2-4).

FIXTURE FOR THE ON-LINE MEASUREMENT (OPTIONAL)
The scanner has been designed to fit into a special holder (optional) to be fixed on the machine, the holder contains a
TAG that identifies the machine and which is read by the instrument at the time of measurement.
The support allows to easily and quickly place the scanner, also for the measurement of moving products and it
guarantees maximum precision of measurement. It is therefore possible, mounting a support on each line,
periodically monitor the production of all machines with just one micrometre: the measurement data saved in
memory will be associated to the identification number of the line/machine given by the Tag inserted in the fixture.
The fixture consists of two main parts:
•
a
fixed part
, with holes for M6 screws, which must be installed properly on the production line. The
positioning must be done so that the product to be measured is in the centre of the measuring field of the
instrument.
•
a
mobile part
that can be raised so as to allow easy access to the product. In this part, when positioned
horizontally, insert the scanner HWS.1 for measurement. The movable part can be locked by means of a
retaining screw.
The following drawing shows the main dimensions and, in red, the position of the product for a correct measurement
