CHAPTER 15:
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES
Perform all check-out procedures as outlined below. Check off items as completed When all
procedures are completed, the installer should complete the installation record, which is placed
at the very end of this manual for easy removal, and send by either of the below two methods.

CHECK
CHECK-OUT PROCEDURE
Boiler system water chemistry checked and verified as outlined in
Chapter 11.
Boiler system was completely flushed to remove any debris/sediment.
The boiler air vent and any automatic air vents placed within the system are open one
full turn.
Air is purged from the heating zones and boiler system piping.
If applicable, confirm that the burner has been properly configured for Propane gas as
outlined in Section 7.3 of Chapter 7.
Thermostat circuit wiring checked and verified that no voltage is present to the low
voltage terminals as outlined in Section 11.5.
Operating Instructions in Section 12.4 were followed during start-up.
Combustion levels and flame pattern verif

d as outlined in Section 12.3.4.
Measured the rate of input on Natural Gas as outlined in Section 12.3.5.
Completed high temperature limit testing per Section 12.4.6.
Checked the incoming gas pressure to the Esteem to ensure a minimum pressure of 5”
W.C. during flow conditions to all gas appliances and a maximum pressure of 13”w.c
during non-flow conditions for Natural and Propane.
Adjusted balancing valves and system limit controls to provide design temperatures to
the primary space heating system.
In multiple zone applications, adjusted for correct flow of boiler water to each zone.
Checked with the Esteem with the homeowner or maintenance personnel.
Ensured that multiple boiler cycles were observed functioning correctly.
Ensured that all manuals and other documents are returned to the Installation envelope
and given to the owner for safekeeping.
