connectivity. The 3110’s default LAN Com Port
(8182) is already configured for stand-alone and
remote operation of the 3110.
In order to enable the 3110 to be used with other
networked signal processing equipment, it may be
necessary to change the 3110’s default LAN Com
Port To assign a different port, complete the fol
-
lowing steps:
1. Select the Settings button and then open the
Network tab.
2. Enter the desired LAN Com Port number in the
text box.
3. Press the “Save” button to save the new port
number. A dialog message will state that the
3110 must be rebooted to complete the LAN
Com Port assignment
4. Before rebooting the 3110, make sure all am-
plifiers connected to the system are disabled.
To quickly disable AE Techron amplifiers, press
the Stop button on the front panel of any ampli-
fier to place all connected units in Standby
mode. Consult the instructions for non-AE
Techron amplifiers to determine the best meth
-
od for disabling those units. After all amplifiers
have been disabled, the 3110 can be safely
rebooted by pushing the 3110’s front-panel
power switch to the OFF position and then
switching back to the ON position. To return all
AE Techron amplifiers to Run status, press the
Enable button on the same amplifier that was
used to place the amplifiers in Standby mode.
5. .Be sure to save any unsaved unsaved .swg
test files before rebooting the 3110.
Assign LAN EOL Character
IMPORTANT:
Assigning a LAN EOL Character to
the 3110 or DSR System requires a reboot of the
3110. Before rebooting the 3110, make sure all
amplifiers connected to the system are disabled.

sult the instructions for non-AE Techron amplifiers
to determine the best method for disabling those
units. After all amplifiers have been disabled, the

LAN communications sent from the 3110 to other
networked equipment may require a special End-
of-Line character to be assigned to ensure proper
communications.
