2 Select the slide that should precede the new question slide. For example, click slide 6 to make the new question
slide be slide 7.
3 Select Quiz > Question Slide.
The Question Types dialog box appears.
4 Select Hot Spot, and then click Graded Question or Survey Question.
The Hot Spot Question dialog box appears with the Question tab displayed.

In the Name box, type the name for the question as you want it to appear on the slide.
6 In the Question box, type the question as you want it to appear on the slide.
7 In the Points box, enter a number or use the arrows to give the question a point value. Maximum is 100 points.

In the Hot Spots box, enter the number of hotspots to be placed on the slide.

(Optional) To disable mouse clicks on slide areas other than hotspots, select Allow Clicks on Hot Spots only.

(Optional) To customize the animation that appears after the user clicks the hotspot, click Select.
11 Select the Options tab.
12 From the Type pop-up menu, select whether the question will be graded or is a survey.

(Optional) To include Clear, Back, and Skip buttons on the question slide, select these options.

Complete the If correct answer area. The following are the options:
Show Correct Message
Provide a text message when the user supplies a correct answer. Clear this option to
provide no feedback for a correct answer.
Action
Click the desired action or destination to follow the user’s last attempt. You can choose from the
following options:

Continue
Project continues playing.
•
Go to previous slide
Project returns to the previous slide.
•
Go to next slide
Project proceeds to the next slide.
•
Jump to slide
Another box appears where you specify a destination slide in the project.

Open URL or file
The project jumps to a specific URL on the Internet or to a local file. Click the browse (...)
button to choose any local file. Click the down arrow to select the window in which the URL should appear; select
Current or New. Choose Current if you want the URL you indicate to open in the same browser window (replacing
your presentation). Choose New if you want the URL to open in a new browser window.
