User Guide
Action
Click the desired action or destination to follow the user’s last attempt. You can choose from the
following options:

Continue
Project continues playing.
•
Go to previous slide
Project returns to the previous slide.
•
Go to next slide
Project proceeds to the next slide.
•
Jump to slide
Another box appears where you specify a destination slide in the project.
•
Open URL or file
The project jumps to a specific URL on the Internet or to a local file. Click the browse (...)
button to choose any local file. Click the down arrow to select the window in which the URL should appear; select
Current or New. Choose Current if you want the URL you indicate to open in the same browser window (replacing
your presentation). Choose New if you want the URL to open in a new browser window.

Open other project
The project begins playing a different project. Click the down arrow to select the window
in which the project should appear. Choose Current or New. Choose Current if you want the new project to
replace the current project. Choose New if you want the new project to open in a new window.

Send e-mail to
Opens the default mail browser.
•
Execute JavaScript
Runs a specific piece of JavaScript code. Click browse (...) and copy the JavaScript code
in the JavaScript window.
Show retry message
Select this option to provide a text message for users when they supply an incorrect answer
but there are remaining attempts available (for example, “Please try again”).
Show incomplete message
Select this option to provide a text message for users when they do not supply an
answer (for example, “Please select an answer before continuing”).
Note:
You can edit the text in the correct, error, retry, and incomplete messages in the Preferences dialog box. Click
Quiz, and select the Default Labels.

Select the Reporting tab and modify the following fields:
Report answers
This option keeps a quiz score.
Note:
Interactive details like Interaction ID, Objective ID, Interaction type are not sent to the LMS if this option is not
selected. However, details of the quiz like the total score, result, quiz state are still sent to the LMS.
Objective ID
This is an optional parameter. If the quiz question is related to an objective set in your LMS, enter
the objective in this field.
Interaction ID
If you want the Adobe Captivate project (SWF file) to send tracking information to your LMS,
you must use the Interaction ID specified by your LMS.
