User Guide
Note:
It is recommended that you resize any buttons before resizing the project. This is because resizing a project will
not resize the buttons automatically.

Open an Adobe Captivate project.

Double-click a slide to open it in Edit view.

Select Insert > Slide > Question Slide to insert a question slide.

Right-click any of the question buttons, and select Properties from the pop-up menu.
The following options are in the Button Type area of the dialog box that appears:
Type
Select the button type from the pop-up menu.
Button Text (Optional)
Type an alternative label.
Font
Select the font type, style, size, effects, and color for the button text.
Transparent
When a button is transparent, only the button text is visible.
The following option is in the Set Shortcut Key area:
Select keys
Choose a key combination for users to press when submitting responses. Any current shortcut is
displayed to the left of the button.
Tip:If your Adobe Captivate project will be displayed in a browser, set shortcut keys that won’t conflict with common
browser shortcuts.

To define the exact pixel size or location of the button, click the Size and Position tab. Select from the following
options to enter pixel values:
Left
The position of the left border of the object.
Top
The position of the top of the object.
Width
The horizontal width of the object.
Height
The vertical height of the object.
Constrain proportions
Select to maintain the height-to-width ratio during a resize.

Click Settings to select whether to apply all the properties or only the changed properties to the respective slide
or to all the slides.
Note:
If you change the settings in this dialog box, any new buttons you create use the new settings.

(Optional) To apply properties to all slides in the project, select Apply to All.
