General Information
AlarmNet-i is a fully encrypted, secure method of delivering alarm messages to a central
station from a protected location, using the Internet. Connected to a control panel via ECP,
an AlarmNet-i enabled Symphony/Symphony-i routes status, supervisory, and alarm
messages to the AlarmNet Control Center using TCP Internet protocol and 1024-bit
encryption. The AlarmNet Control then identifies, validates and forwards the message to
the appropriate central station center.
The AlarmNet-i feature is provided automatically with the purchase of a Symphony-i. If a
standard Symphony was purchased, it does not come with this feature, but may be upgraded
to a Symphony-i by the installer. This will incur an additional charge. To upgrade press the
AlarmNet button on the “Central Station” screen. The following screen will appear.
Enabling AlarmNet-i in the Control Panel
On residential control panels (e.g., VISTA-20PS or equivalent), you must enable LRR in the
corresponding programming field (*29). On commercial control panels (e.g., VISTA-128BP,
VISTA-128FBP or equivalent) you must enable LRR as follows.
