Disabled
Disables the parallel port
To deactivate the parallel port, select the
Disabled
option. If you
install an add-on card that has a parallel port whose address conflicts
with the parallel port onboard, the system automatically disables the
onboard functions.
Check the parallel port address on the add-on card and change the
address to one that does not conflict.
OPERATION MODE
This item allows you to set the operation mode of the parallel port.
Table 2-5 lists the different operation modes.

This item becomes active only if you select
Extended Capabilities
Port (ECP)
as the operation mode. It allows you to select DMA
channel 1 or DMA channel 3 (as required in Windows95).
