10 Troubleshooting

Check the flexure

Check that it is positioned securely on the spin shaft
and that it is held in place with the inner flexure
fastener

Check whether the outer flexure fastener
is securely attached.
The flexure
must be replaced if it is damaged.

Remove the spin shaft

Hold the spin shaft
with a 19 mm wrench or a scratch-resistant screw clamp.

Use a 12 mm wrench to loosen and remove the inner flexure fastener
7
Mount the new flexure
and tighten the inner flexure fastener
to 3 Nm.

Slot the spin shaft
back into the torch.

Gently rotate the spin shaft
between the fingers and tighten the inner flexure fastener
slightly
with the flexure mounting tool until the flexure
is positioned correctly, while tightening the outer
flexure fastener
at the same time.

Gently take hold of the fastener of the contact tip
and rotate it around its axis. If the flexure
rotates, the fastener needs to be tightened.

Remove the tip adaptor extension

Remove the external flexure fastener
using the flexure mounting tool.

and slide it out at the front end of the torch.

Hold the spin shaft
with a 19 mm wrench or a scratch-resistant screw clamp.

Use a 12 mm wrench to tighten the inner flexure fastener
to 3 Nm.

Slot the spin shaft
back into the torch.

between the fingers and tighten the inner flexure fastener

with the flexure mounting tool until the flexure
is positioned correctly, while tightening the outer
flexure fastener
at the same time.
