Securely connect the tip adaptor
to the spin shaft
. Insert the tip adapter socket into the inner
bearing so that a gap of approx. 3.2 mm remains between the tip adaptor
9.3 Replacing the liner

Remove the contact tip

Separate the cable assembly from the wire feeder.

Place the cable on a flat surface.

If necessary, take off the cap
and remove the liner.

Cut the new liner to the same length as the old one.

Insert the new liner. It should protrude 25 – 32 mm.

Check that the cam
remains in the correct position during rotation and after rotation stops.

If necessary, clean the cam
with compressed air. Make sure that it can rotate freely.
9.5 Control device

Check whether the control device settings work for both clockwise and counter-clockwise rotations.

Check the power cable for damage and replace if necessary.

Check the number of revolutions per minute (Off, 200 to 5,500 s
-1
).
9.6 Flexure

The flexure must be checked and maintained on a regular basis. Its service life depends on the cam settings,
the current intensity and the rotational speed. Exceeding the recommended settings will shorten the service
life.

Tip adaptor

must be securely in position. It is important for these to be securely
attached to enable correct power transmission and a stable arc.
