Remove the tip adaptor extension
by holding it with an 8 mm wrench and removing it with a second
8 mm wrench.

Loosen and remove the external flexure fastener
using the flexure mounting tool.

and slide it out at the front end of the torch.

Remove the inner flexure fastener
and dispose of the flexure

Use an 8 mm wrench to remove the tip adaptor

Insert a new tip adaptor

Mount the flexure
on the new tip adaptor
and tighten the fasteners to 3 Nm. The flexure must
be sitting securely on the tip adaptor
.

Slide the spin shaft
onto the cam
together with the flexure
. Use the tool to tighten
the external flexure fastener

Re-attach the tip adaptor extension
.

and ensure that it moves freely.

Manually check that the tip adaptor
does not rotate inside the flexure

Replace the tip adaptor
if it is bent or damaged.

Ensure that the tip adaptor
is inserted correctly and is sitting securely.
NOTICE
• Ensure that the inner flexure fastener
is not skewed when you place it on the thread.
• Position the inner flexure fastener
with the rounded side facing the flexure

• To tighten the inner flexure fastener
in place with the thumb and index
finger of one hand, while tightening the fastener with the tool.
• Turn the tip adaptor
slightly until the flexure
is sitting in place correctly while you tighten the
outer flexure fastener
.
