Data transfer rates supported
The RETA-01 supports 10 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s data transfer
rates. The RETA-01 automatically detects the data transfer rate
used.
Other network components
RETA-01 uses multicast messages for producing instances.
Ethernet switches require a feature called "IGMP Snooping"
(Internet Group Management Protocol) to avoid network load
caused by the multicast messages. IGMP Snooping simply
confirms that multicast messages are sent to correct devices.
EtherNet/IP
Send IP parameters to the TCP/IP Interface
object (Class 0xF5).
RETA-01 must
be restarted or
parameters
refreshed
(RETA-01
configuration
parameter 27
'REFRESH') for
any configuration
changes to take
effect.
