Description

Term

One of the optional fieldbus adapter modules available for ABB drives. FMBT-
21 is a device through which an ABB drive is connected to an Ethernet network.

Explanation

Term

If an error related to the requested Modbus function occurs, the data field contains
an exception code that the server application can use to determine the next action
to be taken.

Exception code

The second byte sent by the client. The function tells the server what kind of action
to perform.

Function code

Holds data that will be later executed by an application program.
