Electrical installation
Contents of this chapter
This chapter describes the electrical installation procedure of the wind turbine converter.
WARNING!
Only qualified electricians are allowed to carry out the work described in this
chapter. Read the complete safety instructions of the converter. If you ignore them,
injury or death, or damage to the equipment can occur.
See the circuit diagrams delivered with the converter. The diagrams of this chapter do not
necessarily match the installation-specific circuit diagrams of a tailor-made wind turbine
converter.
Checking the insulation of the assembly

Converter
Every converter has been tested for insulation between the main circuit and the chassis at
the factory. Also, there are voltage-limiting circuits inside the converter which cut down the
testing voltage automatically.

Grid cable
Check the insulation of the grid cable according to local regulations before connecting it to
the converter.
