Fig. 88: Door communication: Search run
3. Start the "Searching and certifying" function [1] in the door communication of the "Smart
Access Point".
– All located devices are displayed.
– The search always extends itself over the entire available address range of the door
communication system. It always takes the same amount of time.
– The search only concludes with the separate message of the devices found. If actions
are performed prior to this message, the search continues to run in the background.
Search mode notice
■
The search for devices can be started at any time via the "Smart Access
Point". It can, for example, be used to search for newly added devices in the
system.
■
The search mode merely adds something. Nothing is overwritten or deleted.
All settings that were made in the system up to the start of the search are
retained.
■
Also older devices that were removed from the system and are no longer
available are not deleted during the search. They are merely no longer
displayed as search result.
Notice
With the local input of a new physical address on a device with display, the
existing certificate of the device is deleted. The device must then be deleted
manually from the "Smart Access Point" and then re-integrated into the system.
For the renewed assigning of a physical address via the "Smart Access Point"
this is no longer necessary.
Notice
The search is based on UDP (User Datagram Protocol).
In case of large networks with more than 13 hops / switches, the automatic
search cannot be performed.
