Exporting (Saving) a
Dial Plan
Configuration File
When you export (save) the current configuration, the NBX 100 creates a
new Dial Plan configuration file from the current database. You save the
new text file using a name that you choose.
3Com advises you to choose a file name different than the names of any
of the default (sample) Dial Plan configuration files included with the
system. The default files contain examples of such things as Timed Routes
and Pretranslators. If you choose the same file name as one of the default
files, the NBX 100 overwrites the file, destroying the examples.
To export a Dial Plan configuration file:

On the
Operations
tab
(Figure 15)
, click
Export
. The NBX 100 constructs a
new configuration file from the current values in the database and
displays it for you. See Figure 16.

Click the
File
menu and select
Save As
…

From the list box at the top of the
Save As
…
window, select the folder
you want.

In the
File Name
text box, replace the default file name with the name
you want.
