Notes on Busy Lamp/Speed Dial
■
For a DSS/BLF, the default configuration created by the Auto Discovery
process creates Busy Lamp/Speed Dial mappings for every extension
on the system.
■
A CO line mapped directly to telephones (key mode) does not get
transferred to any user’s voice mail.
Creating a Delayed
Ringing Pattern
You can define a ringing progression for a line mapped to multiple
telephones. For example, you can configure a call to ring immediately at
telephone 1, begin ringing at telephone 2 after four rings, and then
begin ringing at telephone 3 after eight rings. The call flashes on the LED
associated with that line, but does not audibly ring. Any of the
telephones can pick up the call at any time, even if it has not yet started
ringing at a particular telephone.
Delayed Ringing is useful for backup coverage on shared lines, such as for
secretaries who must cover each other’s lines.
Delayed Ringing works with key mode behavior only, that is, with line
card ports mapped to buttons on two or more telephones. The easiest
way to create a Delayed Ringing Pattern is to create a group that has the
line mapped to a button, and then use the Telephone
