Installing Modem
Drivers with
Windows NT 4.0
In order to install this modem on a PC running Windows NT 4.0, you
need the following requirements:
■
SNMP Agent added in your Network panel
■
Service Pack 4.0, 5.0, or 6.0 installed
1
When your computer restarts after you've inserted the cable modem into
an available PCI slot, log in to Windows NT as an "administrator" with
your administrator password.
2
When your desktop appears, right-click the
Network Neighborhood
icon. When the list of installed components appears, make sure "Remote
Access Services" appears in the list.
NOTE: If "Remote Access Services" does not appear in the list, you will
need to install Remote Access Services using your Windows NT
installation CD-ROM. See your Windows NT manual for further
instruction. Return to this section once installation of Remote Access
Services is complete.
3
Highlight "Remote Access Services" and then click
Properties
. You
should see a modem associated with Remote Access Services. If you do
not, you need to configure Remote Access Services to work with the
analog modem installed on your machine. Refer to your Windows NT
manual for further instruction.
