engineid
: Specifies the engine ID with a character string, only composed of 10 to 64
hexadecimal numbers. Two hexadecimal characters form an octet.
Description
Use the
snmp-agent local-engineid
command to set the engine ID of the local SNMP
entity.
Use the
undo
snmp-agent local-engineid
command to restore the default setting.
By default, the device engine ID is "Enterprise device information". Device
information is determined according to different products. It can be an IP address, MAC
address or user-defined hexadecimal numeral string.
