Mobility Domain
Objects
The Mobility Domains section of the Organizer panel contains
configuration objects for 3Com equipment. At the top level of the
hierarchy, the information is organized into Mobility Domains. A Mobility
Domain is a system of WX switches and MAP access points working
together to support roaming wireless users (clients). A Mobility Domain
allows users to seamlessly roam from one WX switch to another within
the network.
3WXM contains a default Mobility Domain that you can copy or modify.
You also can create new Mobility Domains. A Mobility Domain contains
the following types of objects:
In this example, the network plan contains the default Mobility Domain

). All Mobility Domains contain domain policies, used for global
configuration of WX switch parameters, and rogue detection, which can
contain a list of known devices to exclude from countermeasures against
rogue access points.
Domain Policies
— Configuration parameters that can be
globally edited and deployed to all WX switches in the
Mobility Domain.
WX switches
— Configuration parameters for a specific
WX switch.
Rogue Detection
— Configuration parameters for rogue
detection and countermeasures.
