The following table describes the fields in this screen.

20.5 Static MAC Forwarding

A static MAC address entry is an address that has been manually entered in the
MAC address learning table. Static MAC addresses do not age out. When you set
up static MAC address rules, you are setting static MAC addresses for a port.
Devices that match static MAC address rules on a port can only receive traffic on
that port and cannot receive traffic on other ports. This may reduce unicast
flooding.

LABEL

DESCRIPTION

Enable MAC
Authentication

Select this check box to permit MAC authentication on the OLT.

Note: You must first enable MAC authentication on the OLT

before configuring it on each port.

Name Prefix

Type the prefix that is appended to all MAC addresses sent to the
RADIUS server for authentication. You can enter up to 32 printable
ASCII characters.

If you leave this field blank, then only the MAC address of the
client is forwarded to the RADIUS server.

Password

Type the password the OLT sends along with the MAC address of a
client for authentication with the RADIUS server. You can enter up
to 32 printable ASCII characters.

Timeout

Specify the amount of time before the OLT allows a client MAC
address that fails authentication to try and authenticate again.
Maximum time is 3000 seconds.

When a client fails MAC authentication, its MAC address is learned
by the MAC address table with a status of denied. The timeout
period you specify here is the time the MAC address entry stays in
the MAC address table until it is cleared. If you specify 0 for the
timeout value, then this entry will not be deleted from the MAC
address table.

Click Apply to save the changes in this section.

Copy to...

Click the Copy to.. button to copy the configuration from the
device that you are currently configuring to other device(s) of the
same model.

Port List

Select a port that you want to configure in this screen.

Enable MAC
Authentication

Select this check box to permit MAC authentication on this port.

Apply

Click Apply to save your changes in this section.

Copy to...

Click the Copy to.. button to copy the configuration from the
device that you are currently configuring to the port(s) on the
same device or the port(s) on other device(s) of the same model.

Close

Click Close to exit this screen.
