19.1.2 Configuring ONU Profiles
Use this screen to configure upstream/downstream bandwidth limit for each link
and connection and port-based VLAN settings for a 4-port ONU. Once you have set
the profile settings, you can apply it to the ONU in the ONU Service Config
screens (refer to
).
Your OLT comes with a “Default” profile contains the settings that work in most
network environment.
When you create a profile having the same name as an existing profile, the
previous settings will be replaced in the existing profile.
To create a new profile, select the profile type and click Add... in the EPON
Profile Configuration screen.
TPID
This field is available only when you select Add VLAN Tag in the Action
field.
Tag Protocol Identifier (TPID) is a standard Ethernet type code identifying
the frame and indicates that whether the frame carries IEEE 802.1Q tag
information. The value of this field is 0x8100 as defined in IEEE 802.1Q.
Other vendors may use a different value, such as 0x9100.
Enter a four-digit hexadecimal number from 0000 to FFFF that the OLT adds
to the matched packets. If you select Customer VLAN in the VLAN Layer
field, enter 0x8100. If you select Service VLAN in the VLAN Layer field,
enter a vendor specific value, such as 0x88a8, 0x9100 or 0x9200.
CoS
This field is available only when you select Add VLAN Tag in the Action
field.
Select a CoS value the EMS adds to the matched packets.
VID
This field is available only when you select Add VLAN Tag in the Action
field.
Enter a VLAN ID number the OLT adds to the matched packets.
OK
Click OK to save the settings and close this screen.
Cancel
Click Cancel to discard all changes and close this screen.
